Reeling

Reeling is a necessary phase for the dyeing of high-quality fine yarns: it allows the yarn to be transported from the cones into the hanks, obtaining a uniform dye.

It is carried out with precision reeling machines, which are able to make hanks of length ranging from 1,100 to 2,200 centimetres. The weight of the hanks produced ranges from 25 to 1,000 grams. (ask the customer for exact dimensions)

2

Winding

This is the reverse operation of the reeling, allowing the yarn to be unwound from the hank, forming the cones. Prisma Ricercheoffers this in-house service to prepare yarns for dyeing.

3

Rewinding

Through the winding procedure, the yarn is transferred from one cone to another. This operation is carried out both to change the format and to divide the yarn onto a larger number of cones. This operation can include paraffin waxing.
